THE CHALLENGE

Organized by WOBI, the World Business Forum is an annual global business summit held across the Americas and Europe and is ranked among the world’s top five most influential venues for C-Suite executives. The yearly summit brings together and average of over 5,000 attendees at each location, consisting mostly of senior executives from over 60 countries. At a high price point, the forum competes with countless other conferences around the world including many owned by business media outlets.

THE WORK

Dialogue was hired to provide strategic communications support and promote World Business Forum (WBF) New York four months leading up to the forum as well as provide on-site support including media deal opportunities, PR and KOL relations. In order to secure long-term affinity for WBF, Dialogue developed the WOBI Future Leaders program, connecting with top tier business schools to provide incentives for their MBA candidates to attend the conference in exchange for advertisements and editorial in the business schools publications. In addition, Dialogue created a survey for all 100 MBA candidates attending to gather insight into career disruption and longevity as well as global trends across industries. The survey findings were announced at the WBF welcome presentations and were also published in WOBI channels, as well as social media. Dialogue also live tweeted the event.

THE RESULTS

More than 30 top media outlets attended the two-day New York City forum and a dozen interviews were conducted as well as Meet &. Greets with keynote speakers such as Si- mon Sinek, Sheryl Sandberg, Richard Branson, Paul Krugman, etc. The forum has since established itself as a main player in the world of executive education.
